There’s nothing more valuable than experience.
In my more than 15 years of exploring the globe as a travel journalist, I’ve come across some great media relations strategies. I’ve been on well-executed press trips that fueled dozens of great articles, radio spots, blogs and television segments by providing quality guides, putting the emphasis on the truly local and creating itineraries that focused on not only the top tourist destinations but also the treasures I’d never have found on my own. I know what works…and what doesn’t. I know what gets attention…what destinations can do to attract the spotlight…and how to build the solid working relationships with media that result in positive, on-going coverage.
I believe those experiences should be shared, so for five years I’ve been working with tourism professionals across North America and Europe giving results-oriented presentations and workshops designed to get media excited, engaged and productive. What I’ve discovered is that the energy generated by groups of talented tourism professionals hearing great ideas and generating new ones can light up a room – and a destination.
Because I’m a storyteller, my presentations and workshops are built around real-life adventures, all tied to the hands-on wisdom they’ve taught me. My goal is to ensure that we’ll laugh, share best practices, and leave the sessions energized with concrete new plans - ready to put them into action.
I’d love to help you and your colleagues learn how to Make the Media Work for You.
